Come Back To The
"OLD KING TUT" APPEARS
Ha ry Von Tilzer Co. Publishes Number Fea-
turing Egyptian Monarch—Timely Offering
Harry Von I llzcr has written tlie music and
William Jerome the words for the new novelty
comedy song, entitled "Old King Tut." The
;
number was originally introduced by Sophie
Tucker at the Palace Theatre, New York, where
it proved one of the outstanding features of her
program. Quickly following Miss Tucker's in-
troduction of the song, such stars as Helle
l'aker, Anna Chandler, Lew Dockstader and the
Singer Midgets placed it on their programs.
"Old King Tut" is a timely offering. The
unusual publicity Tut-Ankh-Amen has hatl
through the press makes the name familiar to
theatregoers and they immediately respond to
this new comedy song.
The Harry Von Tilzer Music Co., 719 Sev-
enth avenue, New York City, the publisher, has
issued "Old King Tut" with a fox-trot arrange-
ment by Ted Eastwood which is finding particu-
lar favor with orchestras everywhere; in fact,
the publisher found it necessary to make addi-
tions to its shipping staff in order to handle the
orders on the number.
Other numbers issued by the above publish-
ing house are "Dear Old Lady," recently in-
troduced in vaudeville by George Macfarlane,
and a novelty coon song entitled "Spookeyville
From Louisville."
DAVIS BACK FROM NEW ENGLAND
Joe Davis, of the Triangle Music Publishing
Co., returned recently from a trip to New Eng-
land territory. The firm's song, "My Mother's
Lullaby," is quite active in Boston and sur-
rounding cities. The number was recently
broadcasted bv the Leo Ueisman Orchestra.

FEATURING "TROT ALONG"
Van and Schenck, the well-known vaudeville
artists, are singing with success the Will Ros-
siter number, "Trot Along." The number is
booked for early recording by several talking
machine record companies and apparently is
bent upon becoming one of the most popular
fox-trots of the present season.
