"SAY IT WITH MUSIC" A BIG HIT
Heralded as the Greatest Spontaneous Success
Since the "Love Nest"
No song since "Love Nest," from a musical
show, has jumped into such immediate popu-
larity as has Irving Berlin's "Say It With
Music," taken from the "Music Box Revue."
As in the case of "Love Nest," this number is
an exceptional song and a most predominating
melody wherever it is played.
The dealers of the country have accepted it
as the most timely offering in many seasons,
as never- was a time more ripe for the entry of
additional active sellers than the present period.
While it is true sales have, in recent weeks,
shown some renewed activity, many members

of the trade have looked forward to the issu-
ance of a song of national prominence which
Ethel Broaker and Benny Davis have just fin-
ished a fox-trot song, "Sunshine and Rain," would add to business. Undoubtedly, "Say It
which has been sung by Mr. Davis with much With Music" is just that sort of song.
success. The number will be published by
Jerome H. Remick & Co.

CANTON, O., October 10.—The recent appearance
in this city of several popular musical comedies
that are on tour after successful runs on Broad-
way has served to create a demand for the musi-
cal hits of the several shows and to stimulate
the sheet music business generally. There are
no really big popular hits just now, according
to local music dealers, but there are a number
of very satisfactory sellers, including "Croon-
ing," "Make Believe" and "Peggy O'Neil."

G. Schirmer, Inc., Transfers Music Department
From Birkel Co. Store to Establishment of
Starr Piano Co. in Record Time
Los ANGELES, CAL., October 8.—The sheet
music department of the G. Schirmer, Inc., has
moved from the Geo. J. Birkel Co.'s store on
Broadway to the Starr Piano Co., on Hill street,
between Sixth and Seventh streets. H. G.
Neville, manager of Schirmer's, is to be con-
gratulated on accomplishing the seemingly im-
possible feat of moving his entire $50,000 stock
from the old quarters to the new premises in
a few hours. Mr. Neville received the greatest
amount of co-operation possible from his staff
and between 1 p. m. on Saturday and 8 a. m. of
the following Monday the complete transfer of
stock from Broadway to Hill street was accom-
plished. No one, unless they had actually seen
the immense stock which required moving,
could realize the magnitude of the task which
was undertaken and carried out in record
time.
Mr. Neville states that important
alterations will be under way within the next
thirty days, in order that the new department
can be beautified, and a mezzanine floor
will be constructed. A line of musical merchan-
dise, consisting of strings, orchestral and
stringed instruments, will also be installed.
