SONG THEME FOR PICTURE FEATURE
"The World Is Waiting for the Sunrise" Lyric
Motif of Mae Murray's "Gilded Lily"
The Mae Murray motion picture feature, "The
Gilded Lily," now being extensively exploited
through the Loew circuit of theatres, has for its
musical theme the Chappell-Harms, Inc., num-
ber, "The World Is Waiting for the Sunrise."
The Photo Play Music Co., which is responsi-
ble for the selection of the musical program to
accompany the above picture, recently forwarded
the letter reproduced below to L. M. Weippert,
of Chappell-Harms, Inc., all of which speaks
for itself:
"It is with great pleasure that we are able to
tell you that your song, 'The World Is Waiting
for the Sunrise,' is being used as the theme of
the Mae Murray feature, 'The Gilded Lily,' one
of the pictures that the Loew circuit has allowed
to play an entire week on their circuit.
"After the first day that this number was
played we received numerous inquiries from
patrons as to what this number was and where
it could be obtained. Our orchestra leaders,
without exception, classed it as one of the best
numbers of its kind that we have ever used.
It is seldom a popular song makes an impres-
sion such as this did. A number must have a
considerable amount of merit other than the
ordinary songs out at the present time.
"We are very glad to give you this information
and, as for the success of the music to the pic-
ture, the publisher that can do anything out of
the ordinary is to be congratulated.

The Mae Murray motion picture feature, "The
Gilded Lily," now being extensively exploited
through the Loew circuit of theatres, has for its
musical theme the Chappell-Harms, Inc., num-
ber, "The World Is Waiting for the Sunrise."
The Photo Play Music Co., which is responsi-
ble for the selection of the musical program to
accompany the above picture, recently forwarded
