How the Simplex Transposing'
Device Operates
As the Simplex Action is in its entirety, so the Simplex transposing device is in part
—simplicity
itself.
Its adjustment is simple and direct.

By moving lever A, which stands in front of the spool box, to left or right, the pitch is
lowered or raised, as indicated by tracker bar openings C.
"Ghost" outlines indicate its extreme transposing range of five tones—which is range enough to
accommodate any voice.

The value of the "word roll," as a selling argument to advance
the sale of player-pianos, is heightened by a good transposing
device, and the Simplex Transposer is the best and simplest on the
market. Manufacturers and dealers, alike, will do well to investi-
gate and verify this statement.
