What the New Rolls Are
They are rolls of the recognized IDEAL quality temporized and
arranged in absolute accordance with the composer's ideas as
indicated on the sheet music, and not as our arranger thinks they
ought to be.
The melody is emphasized particularly as an accompaniment for
singing. When the roll is played, the panels of the player-piano
are closed, the sheet music placed on the desk, and the expres-
sion governed by the composer's own markings on the music.

Economy
for the
Music Roll
Buyer
They permit of the singer following the words in the natural
way—from left to right—instead of confusing him by making
him follow the words as they travel upwards over the tracker,
often in syllables.
They provide for perfect normal singing at a saving—including
the sheet music—of at least 50% to the purchaser.
