ANOTHER WAR VESSEL EQUIPPED WITH THE AUTOPIANO PNEUMATIC PLAYER ACTION PATENT
The Autopiano, manufactured by the Auto-
piano Co., New York, is proving to be as popu-
sailed on an important mission for parts unknown.
Just before its departure the crew of the
Recently Patented Player Action Can Be In-
stalled in Any Upright Piano
WASHINGTON, D. C, June 18.—Frank E. Nichols,
Mount Carmel, and Earl W. Feltis, Norwood,
O., were last week granted Patent No. 1,229,501
for a pneumatic player action.
This invention relates to an improved pneu-
matic player action, and particularly to a player
action adapted to be installed in existing pianos.
An object of this invention is to produce a
pneumatic player action which may be readily
installed in any existing piano, without changing
the piano construction in any way and without
constructing special parts to accommodate the
player action to the piano action.
A further object is to produce a player action
which will not be affected by changes in at-
mospheric conditions, and in which each of the
operating parts is readily accessible without
having to dismantle the entire player action to
reach the desired portion of the action.
A further object of the invention is to pro-
vide a construction of vacuum chest, valve cas-
ing, and diaphragm casing, which may be made
as a unit in metal.

RYTHMODIK PATRIOTIC ROLLS
The Autopiano has again been chosen as the
first prize in the Liggett & Meyer's popularity
contest which is now being held at Key West,
Fla., and also at Raleigh, N. C. Through the
advertising which the tobacco company is dis-
playing, the Autopiano is receiving an enormous
amount of publicity.
