AN OPEN LETTER TO THE TRADE
T
HE perfection of the Ampico Reproducing Piano was proved and
announced a few weeks ago. Dealers have responded quickly
and we have already closed for representation in most of the large
cities. Representations will necessarily be restricted. We urge all
dealers who have not as yet received information regarding terms and
conditions, to write us at once. There is productive territory still
available.
The Ampico is a new instrument, the only genuine reproducing piano
on the market today. No dealer's stock is complete without it. The
Ampico is without legitimate competition. Though others are making
similar claims, we unqualifiedly challenge a comparison between the
Ampico and any other player mechanism on the market today.
While the Ampico is primarily a reproducing piano, repro-
ducing with unerring exactness the interpretation of the
artist who plays the master roll, it is more: The Ampico
will play any 88-note roll, to which the operator may impart
his own interpretation; and, lastly, the piano itself remains
unchanged for hand playing.
Our library of music rolls embraces the entire range of
musical composition^ aiU. vplayed by artists of world-wide
fame.
Godpwsky, Orastein, Volavy, Wittgenstein and Adler have
already appeared in joint recital with the Ampico. Godow-
sky's recital on October 8 at the Biltmore in New York
marked an epoch in musical history. The audience sat
spellbound as the Ampico reproduced, without the slightest
variation, the interpretation heard but a moment before
from the hands of the great pianist. Again Godowsky
played and again the Ampico responded so true in every
detail to the original performance that the great audience
of critics and musicians broke forth in a tremendous ova-
tion. These public comparison recitals will be continued
throughout the country. Skeptics are immediately converted
by these public demonstrations.
Can you offer your prospects any instrument which will bear
this "acid test/' or have you in stock any player mechanism
with which such artists as are listed above are willing to
appear in joint recital?
Our advertising campaign was launched on December 30th,
with a full-page in the Saturday Evening Post. Backed up
by an advertising campaign wide in scope and duration, the
Ampico offers an unprecedented opportunity for dealers.
We confidently expect our entire representation to be closed
definitely within a short time. If you have not already
written for complete information, do so at once.
