Rather in the nature of a departure from the

You Half the Man Your Mother Thought You'd
Be?" by Claire Rochester at the Ziegfeld Midnight
Frolic, New Amsterdam Theatre, New York. The
song is making a real hit.

Rubcy Cowan took his song—his and Charles
Bayha's—"Let's Be Ready; That's the Spirit of
Seventy-Six," down to Washington last week and
sang it to President Wilson in the East Room of
the White House, after an introduction by Secre-
tary Tumulty. He declares he now has a letter
from the President indorsing the song as valuable
propaganda.
