HEAVY DEMAND FOR NEW NUMBER.
The purchase of Jerome H. Remick & Co. of
the song "Molly, Dear, It's You I'm After," one
of the hits of "The Girl from Utah," as announced
last week, has apparently aroused a vast amount
of interest on the part of the retail trade, judging
from the demand that has already been experienced
for tire song. In addition to the popularity gained
for the number through its being featured by Julia
Sanderson in "The Girl from Utah," Remick &
Co. have started the entire machinery of their pro-
fessional departments in exploiting the number,
which should mean a large volume of sales. Judg-
ing from the past records of Remick & Co. and the
songs they have purchased, it would appear that
"Molly, Dear, It's You I'm After" should offer
some new surprises for the trade.
