War correspondents bave described'

it is a great marchinj? song, and thai

Probably working on the idea that the summer
time is the season when the light, frivolous and
humorous music is best appreciated, J. H. Remick
& Co. have just published and begun the exploita-
tion work on two new numbers of the comedy
type. The first of these, and a most promising
song, is "Ypsilanti," by Alfred Bryan and Egbert
Van Alstyne, which has a swinging melody that
should cause it to be heard extensively during
the coming months. The second comedy song is
"Mr. Whitney's Jitney Bus," by A. Seymout
Brown and Clarence Gaskill, which is really
funny and is supplied with enough extra verses
to meet any reasonable demand.
"My Tom Tom Man" is another new Remick
number, being of the present popular Oriental
type. It is by Gus Huhn and Egbert Van Alstyne.
Incidentally a new and .most attractive title page
lias been provided for Remick & Co.'s new ballad
success, "When I Was a Dreamer." It is really
a work of art.
J. Fred 11 elf is said to be planning to re-enter
the publishing field.
