HERE has always been a portion of your public which you
have never been able to interest in phonographs. The
stumbling-block has been that these people regarded a phonograph
as a mechanical device rather than a musical instrument.
With the perfection of Mr. Edison's Disc Phonograph and
with the application of its acoustic excellence to the cylinder types
as well, this objection has been eliminated.
It is a simple fact that a great share of the world's best
music which has heretofore been unsuitable for the phonograph
is now accessible to music lovers for inspiration, for entertainment
