about a month ago from Cincinnati to take charge
of the office, is missing.
Mr. McCourt declared Monday that the shortage
had exceeded $1,000, only $80 of this amount being
on the books of the company, the balance said to
have been collected and not entered.
First knowledge of the matter was gained when
a check made by his manager was protested last
week, no money being credited to the firm's account
at the Dayton National Bank, according to Mc-
Court.
PRAISE FROM NOTED SINGER.
Miss Mary King Sarah, the Popular Welsh
Singer, Writes an Enthusiastic Letter Anent
the Boardman & Gray Piano to the Manu-
facturers.
The pianos made by Boardman & Gray, of
Albany, N. Y., have long been esteemed not only in
this country, but in foreign countries, for their
many admirable qualities of tone and construction,
which have won for them the highest praise from
critical musicians. It is therefore not at all sur-
prising that the eminent piano manufacturers of
Albany should just receive the following strong
tribute to the merits of their instruments from
Miss Mary King Sarah, the prominent vocalist of
Wales, that musical section of Great Britain, and
winner of the three first prizes at the Carnarvon
National Eisteddfod in 1906, who says :
"Gentlemen—Regarding the Boardman & Gray
piano we bought of you. I have nothing to offer
but the highest praise. The tone is perfect and it
is certainly a pleasure to sing to its accompani-
ment. Taking it altogether we are perfectly sat-
isfied with our choice. I can, without hesitation,
recommend it as one of the best pianos in the
world.
Yours sincerely,
"Mary King Sarah."
W. F. Merrill has bought the stock of musical
instruments of E. C. Derhammer in south Haven,
Mich.
After the Holidays—What Then?
Mr. Dealer: It's time to consider the piano line upon which you
must depend for business and profit next year—the line that will
sell and add to your reputation throughout the year.
The Decker Piano
sells during every month of the twelve.
It has behind it a reputation won by the production of artistic
values. Its rich singing tone and reliable qualities of construction
enable it to appeal to the most discriminating purchaser.
Some choice territory still open regarding which we will be glad
to hear from dealers.
