THRONGS GATHER ROUND SHOW WINDOW
A Big Attraction Causes the People to Take Notice—Throngs
Inside the Store and Out—All on Account of the
Exhibit of a Christman Piano.
R
ECENTLY there was a big crush of
people around a show window of a
well-known piano dealer in a prominent
city in the Middle West.
Now, it is known that a show window is an
attractive point in a wareroom.
Its influence is potent.
What do you suppose was the cause of the
crowds gathering 'round the window of the
piano store?
Passersby stopped to investigate and study
with interest a creation displayed in that show
window.
What was it?
Well, it was a Christman piano.
To be exact, it was a Christman Studio
Grand—that dainty little creation five feet over
all, which has attracted musicians and connois-
seurs in every part of the country.
This particular piano was a beautiful ma-
hogany creation and its graceful outlines were
well shown up by an attractive background.
At the piano sat a girl who was also attrac-
tive, and when she played, people gathered not
only outside but in the store, and this dealer sold
a number of grand pianos from this particular
exhibit.
He was one of the dealers, by the way, who
was somewhat skeptical regarding the remark-
able qualities of this instrument until he visited
the Christman factory at 597-601 East 137th
Street, New York, where he became a convert to
the Christman Grand.
He ordered two and since that time he has
kept ordering them regularly.
He says that there is no piano on the market
that can compare with the Christman Small
Grand.
Other dealers have said so, too.
In fact, the most talked about creation in the
grand field to-day is the Christman.

Future scanning projects are planned by the International Arcade Museum Library (IAML).
