Above is shown the delegations from eleven European coin machine organizations from eight member countries that
recently visited the Commission of the European Communities in Brussels. Included are the founders of coin mach-
ines in the ~ who came from Germany, France and Italy. The chairman of the federation, Gert W. Schulze of Bing-
en, W.Germany, made it clear that the federation at a European level and not the national organizations is in a
better position to keep in touch with the E~ commission. Dr. Bruns-Wustefeld, head of the division for directives
in the field ~ongratulated the founders of the union of coin machine federations. All are at present concerned
with fiscal legislation on added value taxation and elimination of obstacles in the field of freedom to provide
services and the gradual elimination of a European currency. Those that participated in this information visit
to Brussels were for the founders: Mr. Schulze and Dr. Kummer of Verband der Deutschen Automatenindustries; Mr.
Chinea, Mr. Mancini and Dr. Ma.neschi for Sezioni Apparecchi per Publiche Attrazioni Ricreative; Mr. Faraut, Mr.
Lahalle and Mr. Meresae for Federation Francaise des Exploitants et Commercants de l'Automatique. As guest were
Union Belge de l'Automatique; Dansk Automatenbrancheforening; Amusement Caterers' Assn.; Amusement Trades Assn.
Ltd.; Vereniging Automatenhalldel Nederland; Deutscher Automatengrohandelsverband e.v.; Zentralorganisation der
Automatenunternehmer e.v.; Federation de Commercants de Luxemburg, For the Commission of European Communities
were Director Dr. Bruns-Wustefeld and Mr. Specker.
