THE REVIEW'S rovi ng reporter has no-
ticed quite a few Kunkel Model K pop-
corn machine on location with a unique
merchandi sing idea which enables the ven-
dors to sell not only popcorn and peanuts-
in-the-shell, but gum , ca ndy, and salted pea-
nuts a well. The helled peanuts are old
by installin g a Kunkel co nvers ion kit; the
other items are vended by insertin g a Aat
piece of scra p iron on th e Aoor of the up-
per base of th e vendor, protruding suffi-
ciently to mount one pe nn y bulk vendor
on each s ide of th e machine. This novel but
simpl e mea ns of adding penny vendors to
the Model K has meant additional revenue
from one-cent sa les a nd has not decrea ed
th e sa le of popcorn and pea nuts-in-the-
hell, Kunkel operators report.
