NAMA Has S. F. Meet
SAN FRANCISCO- A special meeting
of vending machine operators in Northern
CalifOrnia was held in the California Room
of th e -Palace Hotel Friday, March 16th,
under the auspices of the National Auto-
mati c Merch andising Association - a na-
tional association of operators of various
typ es of coin-operated merchandising de-
vices_
More than half a hundred operators were
in attendance_ K A_ P arina, of K A_ P arina
& Co_, acted as chairman and presented R.
L. Strain, vice president of the American
Locker Co. and chairman of the NAMA
Public Relations Committee; and T. A.
Vaughn, associate director of NAMA, who
outlined th e progra m of the association
and its plans for th e futu re. P arina attend-
ed the Octob er 25th an d 26th meeting of
NAMA in Chi cago and was one of two or
three in attendance from the west. He
joined th e group at tha t time and has been
active in th e Association sin ce.
NAMA has a Publi c R ela tions Program
prepared to better acquaint the public with
the autom atic vendi ng industry and intends
to spend $25,000 in fu rtherance of its plans.
A similar meeting was held a week p re-
viously in Los Angeles but no details ~ere
made available inasmuch as the meeting
a pp~oa~~ e d th e status of b ein g a "closed
sessIOn.
Coinmatic Buys Lot
LOS ANGELES-Coinmati c Distributors
has announ ced its acquisition of the vaca nt
lot at the corner of Bonnie Brae and Pi co
Boulevard and its intention to start con -
struction of its new jobbin g and di strib-
uting home just as soon as restri ctions are
lifted on buildin g ma teri als.
Lot is ideally situated on th e city's "Coin
Row" and has 140 foo t frontage on Pi co
and 100 foo t depth on Bon nie Brae. Coi n-
matic intends to build a deluxe establish-
ment tailored to render a maximum of se r-
vice to operators and permitti ng them to
drive th rough th e buil ding to load equip-
ment and sup pli es.

Offers Diode Meter
NEW YORK- On e of th e test instru -
ments developed by Alli ed El ectronics Co.,
and of special interest to a Seeburg oper-
ator, is a device known as th e diode meter.
This meter is used to obtain proper fre-
quency ali gnm ent of Seeburg wireless bar
boxes, selective receivers, wireless music
transmitters and receivers.
