rationing, the tire bugaboo, and the loss of
most of the good service men in the Gotham
area, local operators are not disheartened,
but continue to cover their routes and give
the vexw; best possible service under existing
conditions.
Irv. Mitchell is proving to be the oper-
ator's best friend with his completely-
equipped shop to supply the machine-
tooled parts no longer available from the
original sources. Irv. has don e a bang-up
job machining parts fo r operators.
Vacations are still the fa shion, but some
of coindom's biggest names haven't taken
time for vacations this year. Lou Cantor's
The New York Specialties Co., with Leon
Berman at the head, is now happily en-
sconced in new quarters at 585 10th Ave-
nue. Danny Subarsky, who operates as the
Automatic Coin Repair Service, also shares
the premises.
