New Ye ar 's and Christmas confetti out
of our hair and brush these blonde
Jocks off our coat before the wife catches
u s . . . . And w ho should that b e passing
u s? It can't be Henry Cooper of the Rex
Novelty C o., phonograph operating firm ,
for Henry w a s a lw ays such a demo-
cratic guy. What 's ihat? Ah, so that's
it! Henry has just b e come the father of
a baby girl. Gangw ay, folk s, gang-
w ay.
The sea son has arrived early this
y e ar. Here is poor Matthew Forbes,
field manager of the CMA of New York,
right in the middle of things, a nd Miss
Eleanor Schacter, his office assistant,
ups and marries on him. Best w ishes,
Eleanor, and don't forget the pie ce of
wedding cake we were promised, Inci-
dentally, who was the lucky man?
The Mutt ·and Jeff combination spot-
ted at the Chicago Show was made up
of Lee Rubinow a nd Sidney Levine, both
of New York's Music Ope rators' Associa-
tion. Lee re ports tha t he always takes
little fellow s along for protection-it
seems no one picks on them. As for
Levine, nimble attorney for the music
folk , he reiterate s the fact that the big-
ger they come the harder they fall. Both
me n say they had a great time and re-
port that th ey picked up quite a few
points . .. Let's let it go at that.
