to Rockola

on display at the Rock-Ola Manufac­
turing Corporation offices, the gift
to Mr. Rockola by John D. Roberts
of Western Distributors, Inc., Seattle,

ducing and marketing outstanding
A new operators association is
being organized in Yonkers, N. Y.,
according to recent reports, and a
special meeting for the purpose was
scheduled to take place at the Travers
Clubrooms, 171 North Broadway,
Yonkers on May 21st. Mr. H. L.
Haskin, Yonkers operator, is credited
with starting the movement with the
belief that the problems of operators
in Westchester County, New York,
can be best met by such an operators’
organization. The organization is
tentatively planned for operators of
legitimate types of skill and amuse­
ment machines.
The first carload of amusement
games ever to be shipped east from
the Pacific Coast left Los Angeles
late in April, consigned to Irving
Bromberg Company in New York
City. The car contained more than
400 Contact games manufactured by
the Pacific Amusement M anufactur­
ing Company and was valued at more
than $21,000.
In the car are all four sizes of
Contacts as manufactured by the firm,
and this first carload shipment from
here was made to augment the games
now being turned out by the Chicago
plant of the firm.

Klein Active with
“21” Vender
Karl Klein, hustling young sales
Manager of the Groetchen Tool and
Manufacturing C o m p a n y , recently
spent several days in Kansas, Missouri
and Oklahoma, calling on their job­
bers. The “21” Vender has aroused
more enthusiasm among the trade
than any other counter reel-type ma­
chine, according to Mr. Klein, and it
aPPears that the production records
set by their “ Dandy Vender” and
“Pok-O-Reel” are sure to be broken.
A large number of their jobbers have
announcements in this issue on the
Vender.
Eddie Ginsburg
on Tour
Following a trip to St. Louis, Eddie
Ginsburg of the G. B. Daval Com­
p l y , started on an extensive tour
° f Eastern cities in the interests
°f their new improved “American
Beauty” machine. “Eddie” is well
known to the trade and is stamped
as one of the most likable chaps in
the business. He will demonstrate the
recent improvements which include a
catapult feature, single unit scoring
device and cheat-proof features. The
