Official of American
Chicle Go. Dies
Stephen T. Britten, vice-president
of the American Chicle Company, died
on March 9th after a lingering ill
ness, it is reported. He was 74 years
old. The American Chicle Company
is one of the country’s largest manu
facturers of chewing gum products.
More than fifty years ago, Mr. Brit
ten founded the Canadian Chicle Com
pany which was later merged with
American Chicle Company,

Annual Meet
The annual meeting and banquet of
the Automatic Merchandisers’ Asso
ciation of Michigan was scheduled to
be held Saturday, March 17th, at the
Detroit-Leland 'hotel in Detroit. A
business session with election of offi
cers was to be held at 3 o’clock in
the afternoon, with dinner and dance
to begin at 8 o’clock in the evening.

the Pacific Coin Machine Exposition,
