Chicle Go. Dies
Stephen T. Britten, vice-president
of the American Chicle Company, died
on March 9th after a lingering ill­
ness, it is reported. He was 74 years
old. The American Chicle Company
is one of the country’s largest manu­
facturers of chewing gum products.
More than fifty years ago, Mr. Brit­
ten founded the Canadian Chicle Com­
pany which was later merged with
American Chicle Company,

Annual Meet
The annual meeting and banquet of
the Automatic Merchandisers’ Asso­
ciation of Michigan was scheduled to
be held Saturday, March 17th, at the
Detroit-Leland 'hotel in Detroit. A
business session with election of offi­
cers was to be held at 3 o’clock in
the afternoon, with dinner and dance
to begin at 8 o’clock in the evening.

Paul Gerber will represent the
Chicago Coin Machine Company at
the Pacific Coin Machine Exposition,

to accompany Mr. Gerber on the trip,
