Popularity Revived
After Six Months
Strange things happen in the coin ma
chine world. Six months after its hey-day,
“ Screwy” is now reported to be enjoying
a sudden revival in popularity. Just why
this happened, no one seems to know ex
actly, but operators in several different
cities report that players are passing up
newer games in favor o f “ Screwy.” As a

result they are putting out more “ Screwy”
machines, and jobbers found it necessary
to put through rush orders to the Bally
Manufacturing Co., originators o f ‘ Screwy.”
Taking advantage o f the situation, the Bal
ly organization has made several improve
ments in the design o f “ Screwy” and has
developed a pay-off card fo r use with the
machine. A considerable section o f the Bally
factory has been turned over to the pro
duction o f the improved machines.
