P Q L O P was developed a year ago but has been wit'FfheM .pending the
wan of the pin^garhe. During that time it. has undergone severe tests7$jnd the
“ bugs” have been 'removed. Wo believe that the industry is now ready’Tor a
new type of game— and^we-Jjave a new type of game ready for the industry.
P O L O P is a game of competitive skill. Tt is playe^ by two people in
competition with each other and the scoring depends entirely upon their ability.
Experienced operators know that the most popular games are tho&e which require
playing skill. They know, also, that a competitive game has a much longer life
than ordinary games. Those two features combined in one game— a game of
competitive skill— produce larger profits over a longer period of time.
P O L O P is played much in the same manner as ping-pong with the
added feature of scoring compartments. A ball is fed into the center of the
game and may roll into either of the playing fields. It is volleyed back and
forth between the players, by means of traveling pistol-plungers, until one
misses and the ball enters a scoring compartment.
The speed of the ball,
the direction and timing of the shot, is under full control of the player. Nothing
is left to chance— it is all skill. The score depends entirely upon the ability
of the players. Ten balls are allowed for five cents.
P O L O P involves the playing principles that appeal to man— the desire
to best a fellow-opponent at something requiring an amount of skill which he
can display with greater ability than his opponent. The nickels roll in while
that skill is being developed through practice. After a player becomes adept
at the game the nickels roll in while he proudly displays his ability. It is only
natural that a man should desire to beat a human opponent at a skillful game
rather than compete against a mechanized automaton or a high score. Billiards
and pool are competitive games of skill. So is tennis— so is pin-pong— and so is
POLOP.
P O L O P is sturdily constructed of best grade materials throughout.
Beautifully finished in dark glossy walnut with mahogany playing surface. Legs
are detachable. Is mechanically perfect and absolutely cheat-proof. Twenty
inches wide, 39 inches long, 40 inches high and weighs less than 60 pounds. A
game that will fit all locations and especially adaptable to clubs, lodges, recrea
tion parlors and similar locations where several games may be installed for
tournament play.
P O L O P is sold on exclusive rights basis and only to operators and
distributors. W e positively will not sell to locations nor will we sell to operators
direct, in territories where we have established distributors. Territorial quotas
have been fairly computed by government statistics, for every city, county and
state. Write or wire for descriptive circular and quota necessary for exclusive
Contract in your territory. Better yet— order a sample game and try it out.
You may return the sample game after a fair test and we will refund your money.
P O L O P sells in single game orders for $125.00 plus federal tax. Prices
are scaled considerably under that in quantity purchases. All prices are F.O.B.
