fe red $2,000 in prizes la-day in a national con­
test for musica l compo se rs . . The awards will
be made as soo n after :Ma rch 10, 1924, a s· pos­
s ible. Only citi ze ns of th e United States may

A prize of $1,000 is offered for the best or­
chestral com position in sy mphony or co ncerto
form: a prize of $400 for a n orches tral composi­
tion, w hi ch must not occupy more than fifteen

w hile John Fink, mana ge r of th e profess ional
department, has just re turned from Atl a ntic
City, after spending the months of July and

Forster publications. Maurice L. Adler, sale s
mana ger, also returned to his desk after spend­
ing a month in the East.
Nfr. Adler reports th at the outlook for Fall
is mor e en co ur aging than ever before, and that
the last few months have shown between 40 and
60 per cent increase in sales, and that th ere is
no reason to g ive w hy the sheet music industry
should have cause to complain over the future
business.
"Oh! Harold," one of Forster's popular num­
bers, is now being featur ed at the Auditorium
in connection with Harold Lloyd in "Safety
