The New York Symphony Orchestra pros-
pectus, announcing detailed plans for the forty-
fifth season, has been issued. There will be
the usual twelve pairs of Thursday afternoon
and Friday evening concerts in Carnegie Hall,
commencing November 2 and 3, and the Aeolian
Hall series of sixteen Sunday afternoons, start-
ing October 29.
Walter Damrosch will enter upon his thirty-
eighth season as the regular conductor, directing
concerts in October, November, December and
March.
All the novelties promised are said to have
passed the experimental stage. Among the
compositions selected by Mr. Damrosch for the
first performance are: "Le Carnaval des
Aimaux," by Saint-Saens; "Midsommarvaka,"
by Alfven; "Scenes Dansantes," by Glazounow;
"Symphonie Scastika," by Louis Glass; "A
Dancing Play," Suite by Schreker; Pizetti's
Suite, "La Pisanella," and "Epithalame," by
Roger-Ducasse.
A feature of the Carnegie Hall series will be
a Heethoven-Wagner program, in which Mr.
Damrosch will produce the third act of "Sieg-
fried" in concert form with soloists.
