Horace W. Willson Has Been on the Firing
Line—Still Has the Enthusiasm of Youth.
This week Horace W. Willson celebrated fifty-
five years of service with the American Steel &

Wire Co. There are few men in any line who
have remained with a single enterprise for fifty-
five years, and Mr. Willson is as enthusiastic to-day
faith in the products which he offers for sale. His
success may be attributed to perseverance and per-
sistence. If he did not win a customer at one
time he never gave him up until he had him o,n his
regular sales list.
Mr. Willson believes in his product—understands
thoroughly its special qualities and can intelligently
and forcibly bring these ibefore the attention of
members of the trade. He gives occasional class
lectures to the younger salesmen of the great cor-,
poratio.n with which he has been so long identified,
and in his talks he endeavors to impress upon the
minds of his listeners the fact that stick-to-itive-
ness counts.
While Mr. Willson has a beautiful home in
Sterling Junction, Mass., he does not feel inclined
to rest long at a time. He prefers the activity of
business and is always happy when bringing the
attention o.f his clients to the merits of his par-
ticular products.
Mr. Willson has received a large number of
congratulatory letters from manufacturers, many
enclosing o.rders, as well as greetings from officials
of the American Steel & Wire Co., on his fifty-
fifth anniversary of service.

The George II. Harper Co., manufacturers of
veneers, mahogany, oak and Circassian walnut,
Orange, N. J., has issued and mailed to the trade
its two monthly calendars, one for July and one
for August.
The July calendar shows a reproduction of an
oil painting entitled "Canal of Santo Quistina,"
while the August calendar is a reproduction of
another painting called "Near the Public Garden."
These calendars represent two more of the
"Beautiful Venice" series that the Harper Co. is
distributing to the veneer users o.f the country.
