RocK-0LA CD JuKEeox SveERSoN1c SOFTWARE UPDATE
SUBJECT
All Rock-Ola CD Jukeboxes with
SyberSonic Electronics (Produc-
tion Dates: 5/96 thru 3/22/97).
looks at a CD to prevent the last
track of certain discs from being
locked out.
New maintenance release
EPROM Version 3.2 for the
SyberSonicJukebox is now avail-
able through Rock-Ola Distribu-
tors. This maintenance update
addresses several issues which
have been recently brought to
our attention.
4. The phrase "TOCANDO ES"
has
been
replaced
by
"TOCANDO LA'' in the Span-
ish language option.
1. The music now "fades" up at
the beginning of a track eliminat-
ing the "blasting in" of songs that
have a loud start.
Check installed software version.
2. We have changed the monitor-
ing of the Nostalgic Pages posi-
tion. You no longer have to pro-
gram the last page and home
page for Nostalgic machines. This
cures the page sticking problems
that have been reported from the
field.
3. Some CD's do not have an end
of track indicator on the last song ·
of the album. This causes the
computer to falsely log this as a
playing error and lock out the last
track of that disc. We have
changed the way the computer

instructions will be included with
the replacement EPROM.

ERROR CODE
CHEAT SHEET
To check software version: With
the dome/ door closed, tum off
machine power then turn it back
on. Observe the machines digi-
tal display. The top line will show
"Software Release" while the
message in the bottom line scrolls
"Rock-Ola CPU Version X.X"
where X.X is the version num-
ber.
Some of you have asked for an
"error code cheat sheet." Follow-
ing is a chart of the error codes
from the plastic laminated "cheat
sheet" that is included in all
SyberSonic Jukeboxes. This in-
formation can be used to narrow
down a problem to a specific area
of the jukebox.
If X.X is something other than
3.2, the EPROM should be
changed. Order Part Number
55824-3.2 from your local dis-
tributor.
More detailed troubleshooting
information can be found in the
SyberSonic service manual. For
additional laminated copies of
the Quick Find Programming
Reference chart and Error Codes
Chart, order part number 58817
from your Rock-Ola distributor.
