CAUSE
The top trough switch in the eight
ball trough (Switch =II= 17 in the
matrix) is stuck closed or has a
ball sitting on it after the 8 balls
have been released from the 8-
Ball Trough (located in the up-
per left area of the playfield)for
13-Ball Multiball. This can be
caused by a short in the wiring
or excessive gunk building up on
the switch membrane causing the
ball to stick to it. This leads the
CPU to believe that the trough
is loaded and it aborts reloading
the 8-Ball Trough during 13-Ball
Multiball.
SOLUTION
I
Clean the the switch membrane
surface using standard playfield
cleaner (use caution if using a
petroleum based cleaner). If the
problem of the ball remaining on
the switch continues you may
want to consider the procedure
listed below which will increase
the pitch of the 8-Ball Trough
Assy. making it more difficult for
a ball to hang-up.
