Can these be retrofitted into older
games like Star Trek and Indiana
Jones. It would be nice if they could
be offered to us at a reasonable
cost, if it's possible to do the up-
grade.

Evan, STAR*TECHJournalfa.xed
your inquiry regarding upgrading
the troublesome ball trough opti-
cal boards to a more reliable type
(i.e. World Cup Soccer and newer
games). Mainly, the question was
"Can older games like Star Trek
and Indiana Jones be retro-fitted
with the newer assemblies. STJ
faxed this question to Williams
Tech Service Department.
Tom Cahill, Tech Svc Mgr, called
STJ and said that no retrofit would
be available from Williams. It's
not that it can't be done, but that
it would be a time-consuming, la-
bor-intensive project and there-
fore not worth the effort. So, the
bottom line is that there will be
no upgrade offered by Williams.

Future scanning projects are planned by the International Arcade Museum Library (IAML).
