QUESTION
I've a question about the Capcom Qsound sys-
tem. I've purchased a Dungeons & Dragons and
now I want to put it into an old cabinet, but I also
want to make it stereo.

mail or fax it to S* TJfor reprints of those articles
you might be missing. What could be easier!
In the six-page manual furnished with the kit I've
read that Qsound is available with "Capcom
Qsound cabinet only"! What does this mean?
Can I connect two speakers to the two "audio out"
connectors placed to the right of the "option" con-
nector and set the system configuration to "ste-
reo Qsound"? Why does it say "Capcom Qsound
cabinet only"? Is there an extra Pcb or chip or
something in this cabinet? And finally, what
speaker configuration can I use for this set-up?

Capcom's Qsound system follows the standard
Qsound process: It's an effect added to a standard
stereo audio signal. No external decoding is re-
quired. All Capcom's Qsound amp system is ... is
a stereo amplifier. I suppose you could wire up an
old Midway dual channel amp or something simi-
lar and place two speakers in the cabinet in a man-
ner which gives fairly decent stereo separation.
This is all that's required.
NOTE
The L/R audio out plugs on the Capcom box are
line level audio outputs ... these are provided for
external amplifiers such as Capcom's board, a
large screen TTv' or some other similar device.
They are not speaker connections.
