SUBJECT
Everyone knows to buy a Termi-
nator 2 or Addams Family pin-
ball, but a game that will out-
gross either one of these top earn-
ers may never make your
distributor's showroom! Smart
Industries Jackpot 4 player (mer-
chandiser) is the one that can do
it. The game is excellent where
cranes and other merchandising
games are merely good.
• Personally, I'd like to see the
arms and control button be the
same color. (This change has
been done on the new units.)
IN THE BEGINNING
PRECAUTION
The early units had a few minor
problems show up. Modifications
that should be done to make them
as good as the newer units are:
• The turntable and dispenser
motors should have a fuse added.
When moving the game, I recom-
mend tying down the dispenser
unit and arms soi t won't damage
the mirror.
• The payout doors can bend
causing them not to open and
close properly. They have been
upgraded with new units and are
available from your distributor.
• If the mirror changes speed, it
may be rubbing. Raising the
metal mounting plate from below
will cure this potential problem
(eventuallythisrubbingwill take
out the motor and gear drive).
PARTS
Extra parts to stock? Have a
spare turntable motor and driver
transistor.

CONCLUSION
With these changes, the unit will
run almost as trouble free as a
good video game.
The only remaining problem is
that it must be filled every $450-
500. I did recommend they make
the dispenser a little higher to
gain added volume. (I have to
restock in the middle of the week
after collecting on the weekend!)
