RE: EOS END-OF-STROKE
No, we did not remove the end of stroke switches
on our Electronic flipper (which debuts on the
Ad.dam's Family). The end-of-stroke detection is
required to give the player the same feel (no one
can· tell the difference between our "normal"
flipper and the electronic one without raising the
playfield, or looking for a spark in the button).
NEW DESIGN
We did remove all of the negative qualities asso-
ciated with end-of-stroke switches. The current
path through the flippers no longer goes through
the end-of-stroke switches. Nor does it go
~ through the flipper buttons.
This keeps the flippers powerful for much longer.
Should an end-of-stroke switch fail, (stuck open
or closed), the flipper will operate on a timing
scheme and, while losing some of the nuances
created by the end-of-stroke, the game will con-
tinue to function normally.
OBSERVE TEST
The test report will then point out this problem.
Both the cabinet switches and end-of-stroke
switches also now appear in all of the switch
tests.

BOTTOM LINE
We have done an extensive job of testing and
perfecting this design before commiting it to a
~ production game. Our results show a marked
• increase in reliability, and a flipper that stays
more powerful for a much longer period of time.
