orbiting ball effect, and a hi-lo
gear shifter instead of a
plunger ...
The thought of a pinball named
ADDAMS FAMILY, made me a
bit wary as I wonder about the
licensed theme pins, but one play
later it had won me over with its
special effects and friendly ramp
shots ... there's even a built-in
playfield bubble level on this one!
A.G.& Co. has A.G. FOOTBALL,
an interesting head-to-head, 1-
or-2-player pinball game that can
fight against you surprisingly
well in the 1-player mode that
features a sensor wire switch in
front of the flippers... that G.
stands for the family name of
Gottlieb, by the way, not to be
confused with Gil Pollack's Pre-
mier/Gottlieb Technology, home
of pinballs and video lottery
equipment ... or is it? ... Good
sounds from Gil's OPERATION
THUNDER pin featuring hide-a-
ball ...
Fabtek's FrankBallouz and Todd
Erickson showed PULL TABS
video, recommended in all states
with legal pull tabs and account-
ing odds equal to the real game ...
We weren't sure whether the
video's name was a war or disease
theme when we saw LEGION-
NAIRE, but when Frank grinned
and targeted the back of my head
with a piece of some Fabtek logo
taffy, it did appear to be the war
game ... good candy, too ...
Comedian GALLAGHER seen
signing autographs by his laser
disc videogame at the American
Laser Game booth... their new
Space Pirates is a Betson item ...
Atari pushed back the release of
their Guardians of the Hood
street fighting game but sur-
prised show goers with a nicely
done baseball video, RELIEF
PITCHER ... watch for this popu-
larly priced kit in time for base-
ball season ...
Clever Devices folks can take
your sound effect or music or an-
nouncement and automate it af-
ter turning it into chips in a small
sized announcement box ...
Limited availability of the Street
Fighter II boards (and the dedi-
cated sequel) must delight Jim
Miskell at Tai to with his similar
SILENT DRAGON kit ...
Stan at A-1 Products with his
homespun wit and heavy duty
hand hewn hasps always has
something new ... this show he
had several new items to join his
herd of hardware ... he's already
got the hasp you need for the new
STREET FIGHTER II CHAM-
PION EDITION cabinet made
and ready to ship when the game
does ... have a look at GRIP-TEST
countertop from Stan ...
The Game Room showed three
chip change games for your
Double Dragon boards ... DARK
TOWER is like Bubble Bobble
with a baseball bat ... THUNDER
STRIKE reminds me of
Choplifter, and DANGEROUS
DUNGEONS (which reportedly
charted in Australia) is a Dig Dug
Goes to College ... all three from
the programmer hand of Kyle
Hodgetts ...
BPOCKETRIGHTANGLEBIL-
LIARDS is the company name as
well as the L-shaped pool table
that everybody wants to play ...
The other company name that's
even better was chosen by the
GIANT GUMBALL MACHINE
Company and their eye-catching
gum vendor ... it's 79 inches tall
with a 42-inch globe ...
Other gum fans saw the mating of
the videoPEGGLE with a tall 25-
cent gum vendor at Machine-O-
Matic of Canada ...
Don "Spartacus" Shimel showed
off power supplies with a two-
digit led showing the voltage and
an easily adjusted +5 volt knob ...
Smart's SKULL ALLEY game
has a smoke effect reload that
lasts 3 months for only $22/gal-
lon ...
Mars high security GL-5 bill ac-
ceptor refuses to take color copies
and those recent bogus 20's ...
Dynamo included a moving LED
programmable sign in their new-
