Invaders, Defenders, Pac Man, mechanical pin-
ball, the older pool tables and jukes) That is what
they will eventually end up with anyway if they
get another 50/50 operator.
Answer:
Vicious. Most of them think that you're making
too much already.
3. Question: Have you ever had to revert back to
2. Question: Have you lost accounts to
competeion due to this?

NEVER
Answer:
a. We have always got them all back within 2
years at the outside.
b. Don't get mad when they ask you to remove
the equipment. Stay friends and explain that
what you're doing is best for both of you. If they
don't see it your way then just say that you are
sony and that you will take them back at any
time and that you want to stay friends. It was
just a necessary business decision.
c. Stay in touch with them monthly. Make
friends and stay friends, you will get them back.

when your former customer sees all of the play-

won't come back to an enemy.
e. For the location or two that just plain plant

50/50?
4. Question: Has it helped your company?
Answer:
My company would not exist without 600/4. We
are in a smaller area and aon't get the large cash
box reports that I hear about. Our cash box
reports are always less than half of what you
hear about, and we still have all of the latest
equipment.
Another operator shares his views:
When competition thinned out we went 60/40
on our accounts. We explained to our locations
the reasons for the change and they accepted it.
We did not lose any accounts; we had to revert
back to 50/50 on one account.
How has it helped our company? We have 10%
more than we had before. And every bit helps.
