Main PCB Modification

PROBLEM
There has been some confusion as to which
versions of PlayChoice main PCB require
modification to run Super Mario 3 game
cards.
IDENTIFICATION
PCHl-01-CPU and PCHl-02-CPU main
PCB's are the only versions requiring modi-
fication. This designation is printed just left
of the 56 pin edge connector on the compo-
nent side of the main PCB. Please check the
designation before starting any modifica-
tion.
NOTE 1
This modification does not apply to any
single monitor PlayChoice Upright, Counter
Top or VS System/ PlayChoice kit conversion
main PCB's. This modification does apply to
a small number of main PCB's included with
the first builds of double-stacked monitor
PlayChoice Uprights.
NOTE2
The modification required on PCH-01-CPU
and PCHl-02-CPU main PCB versions will
apply to future games utilizing the PCH 1-01-
ROM-G, PCHl-02-ROM-G and PCHl-01-
ROM-H game card versions. Modification
instructions will be included with each game
pak accordingly.
