I have just fmished installing a Konami Crime
Fighters into an Atari Gauntlet cabinet and
would like to share the following information.
Winners of the AMOA
Games Awards were:
PROBLEM
Toe control panel overlay has the holes for the
joysticks and buttons pre-punched. These holes
are 3/8" larger then they should be, and the
bezel of the button can not cover the overlay.
Because of this the old gauntlet control panel
will show around the buttons and joysticks.
SOLUTION
A possible cure is to spray paint the old control
panel black around the buttons and joysticks.
I've done this and it looks good.
RECOMMENDATIONS
X While you have the old buttons
and joysticks off, replace them with
newer, less troublesome devices.
X Because of the way the harness is
wired, it is advisable to mount the
CPU board onto the left side of the
cabinet.
X The wires are quite short, so plug
your coin doors in first and work to
the back of the cabinet.
AMOA is a non-profit organization com-
prised of some 1,400 owners, distributors
and manufacturers of coin-operated amuse-
ment, music and vending equipment.
X You will have to add extra wire to
your video cable.
NOTE

When you are finished, save your old Gauntlet
board -you can adapt it to JAMMA and use it as
a good filler in your JAMMA cabinets.

Future scanning projects are planned by the International Arcade Museum Library (IAML).
