PROBLEM
SUBJECT
Earth ground is NOT connected to the cabinet. The
shock hazard arises when one of the sheet metal
screws holding the florescent light in the top pierces
the insulation on the 120 volt wire in the top of the
crane (or any other source for that matter!). Note:
Every Hollywood Crane (all models) I have seen, to
date, has this hazard.
REMEDY
Connect a grounding wire from the power supply
panel, (located in the back of the crane on the wooden
wall), to the floor plate of your crane. This will ground
the cabinet of the crane and make electrically safe.
Leland uses the /NMI input of the main processor as
the coin input in its game design.
GOOD NEWS/BAD NEWS
This method ensures that no quarters are ignored
when they trigger a coin switch, Bur it also means
that if a coin switch gets stuck, the game will "freeze"
where ever it is at the time.
SERVICE NOTE
If the game is powered-up with a coin switch stuck it
will appear as if the logic is bad. Disconnecting P4 on
the main board will bring it back to life. It's not nice
to leave the Z80 running a loop!
