SUBJECT
There is a possibility that one of the EPROMS
sent with your Cyberball 2072 Tournament 4
Player kit might be duplicated or mislabeled.
PROBLEM
If you have been experiencing freezing problems
with your game(s) Viper and/ or Quarterbadc.-2
Player and you've determined it's not voltage
related, try this remedy.
Below are the Atari part numbers and correct
check-sums for the two EPROMS in question.
136073-2008 lEFE
136073-2009 39DF
VERIFICATION
Run a test on the two EPROMS and compare the
check-sum with the ones above. If your
EPROMS were duplicated both IC's will be dis-
playing the same check-sum. If you have fur-
ther questions, please contact your Atari Dis-
tributor or Atari Field Service at 408/ 434-3950.

SOLUTION
Remove U52 (74AS08) from the multi-function
sound board (top) and jumper U52 Pin 4 to Pin
6. This should resolve any problems you may
have been experiencing.
If you should have any questions regarding this,
please contact our Technical Support Depart-
ment for assistance at 619/562-7000 Monday-
Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Pacific Stan-

PROBLEM
Coin door durability.
PROBLEM
If the monitor jumps or squeezes together when
control lamps are flashing the probable cause is
the switching power supply.
SYMPTOM
Alot, (actually all of my coin chutes!) have bro-
ken where the hair pin goes through to hold the
coin mech in place. One good kick to the front
and it is all over for the small piece of plastic.
SOLUTION
A simple fix is to install a 4-40 x 3 / 4" screw and
nut through the body and hinge about 3 / 4" of an
inch below the hinge point. It holds up very well.
SOLUTION
Replace it with a power supply that has 12 volt
outputs at 2 amps.
NOTE
If there is no picture at all, suspect the flyback
transformer, as we have replaced several. Oth-
erwise, this has been a very reliable machine.
