Conversion For EOS Assy

Field Conversion Kits are now available
which utilize a new Errl-of-Stroke assenbly
design. This design eliminates the wear on
the Errl-of-Stroke switch blade.
ARENA has a new design incorporated on the
flipper assemblies. 'Ihese kits are
retro-fits to all Premier ganes prior to
ARENA.
Order nurrbers for kits are MA-988 and
MA-989. 'Ihe following charts are part
descriptions and installation
instructions.

FIELD CX:>NVERSION KIT
MA-988 and MA-989 Utilizing A New
Errl-of-Stroke switch Assenbly

3. Figure 1 illustrates an explcxled view
of a right hand side flipper unit with two
switches as viewed from the underside of a
playboard. Follow the step-by-step
procedure to incorporate this field
change. The procedure for a left hand side
flipper mit utilizes the same
instructions.

STEP-BY-STEP ProCEIXJRE
1. TUm power off, renove front noulding,
top glass and set aside. Using a grease
pencil or pieces of masking tape,
transpose the relative position of the
right flipper bat on the playboard.
2. Lift the playboard up in the servicing
position and loosen the two flipper lever
assenbly socket head cap screws with an
5/32" allen head wrench. Renove the
flipper and shaft assenbly and set aside.
3. Mark and tag each wire on the flipper
switch assenbly and unsolder all the
wires.
4. Rem:>ve the coil JIOtmting bracket and
stop, renove the coil/sleeve and the two
spring washers and set aside.

5. Reroove the coil nounting bracket.
6. Unloosen the spring hooked on the top
side of the flipper lever assenbly. Renove
the old flipper lever assenbly and
discard.
7. Renove the nounting screws, switch
cover and the old flipper switch assenbly
and discard.

8. Attach to the flipper unit frame,
switch bracket (25368) using the two
(FA-9, S-40 x 5/16" screws). Position the
plate so that the two screws go through
the non-threaded holes of the switch
bracket.
9. Attach the switch cover ( 465) and the
switch assenbly (25437) to the bracket
(25368) using the two (FA-7, S-40 x 7/8"
screws), tilting the blade downward (A)
as you tighten these screws. During gane
