Williams Pins 50 Volt Flipper PM

Levittown, Pennsylvania
By Raymnd R.
'!he single-sided cut key is inserted
upside-down and at a slight angle. It is
only mildly difficult at first but after
the first successful atterrpt, it becomes
incredibly fast and easy to open!
The smaller profile keys work best but
trying a fist-full of GM keys from the
Lost & Found box here, I was amazed to
discover 80% of than opened the locks
easily!
SOU1I'ION: The only solution I have (and I
talked at length with the customer Service
people at Valley with no satisfaction),-is
to replace all or the #512 locks to your
favorite (ie: Master Lock) lock set. so,
if your pool table take is down at your
Valley locations, try the GM test on them.
SYMPIOMS: Coils energizing when the
switches are open. Points scoring when
they are not supposed to. Fuses blowing
for no reason.
PROBLEM:
Broken diode on flipper coil or
coils.
SOLUl'ION: Add small board about 3 inches
square with backup diodes 100unted on it
for each flipper, and put extensions on
flipper wires, then run wires to board
first and back to flipper coil. so when
diode on coil breaks -the one on the boarcr--,
takes its place.
RESULT: Fewer service calls, less machine
down time.

Future scanning projects are planned by the International Arcade Museum Library (IAML).
