ASTRON BELT SELF TEST
Grune: Astron Belt
Subject: Self Diagnostic Test
The diagnostic test can be advanced to the next test by pressing the start button
for a reasonable period of time.
When you advance from the input test ( switch test) to the next test the start
button must be held in for a longer period.
After the last diagnostic test, the grune will return to the attract mode
automatically in approximately 30 seconds.
ASTRON BELT BACK DOOR KEY
To prevent theft of the laser disc player, all back doors will be keyed with a
special Illinois Lock, Key #350.
ASTRON BELT DEMODULATOR BOARD - DIP SWITCH 1
The four banks of individual switches on Dip SW 1 are set up so Switches # 1,
#2 and #3 are in the OFF position. Switch #4 should be kept ON.
Dip SW l/N0. 4 determines whether to accept composite negative or
positive going SYNC from the logic boards. Since the logic produces a negative
going SYNC, the Dip Switch 1/No. 4 is left ON.
Dip Switch 1/No. 4
ON- Negative SYNC
OFF - Positive SYNC

TROUBLESHOOTING & MAINTENANCE
TROUBLESHOOTING
Before concluding that the player is out of order, please refer to this
troubleshooting guide to make sure that there is not a simple remedy for the
problem. The vast majority of performance problems have their source in set-up
errors, bad connections to other equipment, or malfunctions of other equipm~nl
Find trouble symptom on the chart below, and try the suggested remedies.
