Game: "Tron"
Subject: Leg leveler clearance at logic board
When leg levelers are inserted without leg-leveler nuts, the left leveler can damage the logic board.
Use only 2-inch type leg levelers with leg leveler nuts (Part Number 0017-00102-0048).

Game: "Tron"
Subject: Objectionable vertical line (lower right side of video screen)
Modification:
Adjust vertical center and vertical shift controls to move objectionable line to the edge of the video
screen.
Check cycle game for correct boundary alignment.
Game: "Tron" (Serial #101-1202)
Subject: Control Assembly
Condition: Loose Actuating Pin
Modification: (An update of Mod in S*TJ, Vol. 4, #6)
Add a shoulder washer, a periphery washer and a roller as shown in Figure #1 (tighten securely).
Check out mechanically.
Notes:
I. Torque actuating pin to 75 in.fibs. ± 10%. It is suggested to use a loctite compound.
2. A light grease (0017--0008-0087) must be put between the actuating pin and roller.

After fighting a problem in the Atari "Tempest"
for three days and finding a silly mistake, I
thought I should write to you.
Wells-Gardner Monitors #19K6101 use a
1.5-ohm IO-watt resistor in location R610-
R710. If you replace these resistors with
standard wire-wound units, the monitor will
exhibit the "shakes" or "jitters" referred to in
S*TJ, Vol. 4, No. 7 Service Tips, but the
symptoms will be misleading in that R610 and
R710 must be Non-Inductive.
Please tell your readers about this problem
as Atari and Wells do not point out this
requirement in the parts listing, and only put
down the initials "N.I." on the schematic. •

Subject: Self-Test BAD ROM Locations
When a bad ROM is located in self test, the video screen will indicate location 02, 03, etc.
Due to computer-type letters, this " O" is really the letter "D" which locates the bad ROM.
Game: "Tron" and " Solar Fox"
Subject: Power Supply (A082-90412-COOO)
A 68-ohm ½-watt resistor has been added between +5vdc and common (ground).
This resistor is a dummy load for proper voltage measurement when the logic board is
disconnected.
The dummy load resistor will not, however, affect the logic system if it is missing.
Game: " Blue Print"
Subject: ROM Self-Test Display
Due to an early program change, the ROM self-test display read out in the operating manual was not
used.
The following self-test display read outs are valid.

Pace's Model SX-301 is a completely self-
contained, spike-free power desoldering/
soldering system. The SX-301's new light-
weight, low-profile design makes it suitable for
any work station at any time.
The system contains two variably controlled
polarized outputs for temperature level control,
zero power switching for safe ESD operation, a
fast-rise vacuum pump with fixed vacuum
outlet, a variable pressure outlet for pressure/
hot-air jet operations and easy foot pedal
control switch. The unit is corrosion proof and
is shock mounted for vibration isolation. It
weights just 7½ pounds. Also featured is the
No Clog Dual Path Solder Extractor.
