MAGNIFICENT RADIO SHOW
Gamble and her Accordion Band entertained for the Veterans
several times during the week.
Miss Gamble's Band performed on the Columbus Memorial
Hall stage in front of the U. S. Marine Band, which was sent to
Columbus by President Roosevelt especially for the G.A.R. En-
campment. The appearance of any musical group on a program
with the U. S. Marine Band is a distinction few can claim, and
Miss Gamble is justly proud of this honor.

SEALS
Melville Clark, Prcs. Clark Music Co.
More than 100 new 1942 models in eight popular makes were
on display for a week recently in the beautiful Clark Music Co.
store, located in the heart of Syracuse, N. Y. The event was the
Annual Radio Show for Clark's, which is commonly known as
"The Radio Center."
To accommodate the large number of exhibits, the second
floor of the Clark Building was used. The store remained open at
night, with special drawings for door prize each evening, and a
feature of attraction was the making of a record in letter form
which could be mailed to anyone in the United States for a cost of
ten cents. There were large numbers of visitors every day.
The displays, arranged by radio manufacturers and distribu-
tors were arranged to give Syracusans a preview of the season's
new 7 developments, both in mechanical performance and design.
Models ranging from camera-size portables to big double-speaker
radio-phonograph combinations were on display.
Manufacturers represented were Capehart, RCA Victor, Re-
cordio, Farnsworth, Philco, Magnavox, Zenith, and Admiral. Elec-
tronic instruments played by hand, such as the Hammond Organ,
Novachord, Solovox, electronic chimes and electronic guitar were
also shown. Sales of highclass merchandise were much in evidence.
The show received a great deal of publicity in the local papers
during the entire week. The event was one of the most successful
ever staged by the Clark Music Co. in its long and successful
history.

THE HUSTON BALDWIN PIANO STORES
CO TO THE PAIR
The Wisconsin State Fair at Milwaukee this fall was not
only a success in itself as its largest attendance in its history would
indicate, but also for the Huston Baldwin Piano Stores' exhibit at
the Fair. With Mr. Gordon Kofler and Mr. E. G. Ascher, their
wholesale travelers, in attendance . they sold a good many pianos
among which were twelve bought right at the exhibit. Congratula-
tions are due Mr. T. R. Huston on his success and we are glad
to know that people buy something other than "hot dogs" at the
State Fair.
