OHIO MERCHANTS' CONVENTION
PUT OVER UNTIL 1933
The Ohio Music Merchants' Association has post-
poned its 1932 gathering until next year. This year's
meeting was originally scheduled for Portsmouth, Ohio.
A meeting of the officers and advisory committee has
been called to decide a place and date of the meeting
for 1933.
Charles F. Gross, secretary of the Ohio associa-
tion, in commenting on this postponement wisely
remarks that "It takes money to defray expenses of
a convention and our people have come to the con-
clusion that.this money can better benefit us and oth-
ers of the trade if used to rid the state of some of the
teachers and other persons in the employ of State
controlled institutions who sell musical publications,
musical instruments and supplies direct to their pupils
or to schools in violation of th£ existing Ohio State
law forbidding this practice."
