PRESTO-TIMES
March, 1932
A VALUABLE RADIO AGENCY
in selecting a line of radios the music dealer will
find much satisfaction in handling goods that have
not been listed nor heralded in cheap advertising,
price slashing, and hawking about from store to store
and street to street, and goods, the prices of which
are kept up with other goods in his line of business.
In the matter of selecting a line of radios Presto-
Times takes pleasure in referring its readers to the
active and representative house of Silver-Marshall,
Inc., Chicago, a special demonstration of which house
with description of its product may be read on an-
other page in this issue of Presto-Times. It is a well
known fact and may be put down, well nigh, as an
axiom that when a dealer sells a Silver-Marshall
receiving set he can be practically assured that the
customer is not going to return another day to tell
of the chance that he had to purchase the instrument
for 10 or 20 per cent less than he had paid for it.
Perhaps this fact, as much as any other, explains why
Silver-Marshall radios are so successfully handled
by some of the largest music houses in the country.
Presto-Times suggests that merchants and others
interested in making a success of their radio busi-
ness investigate the Silver-Marshall proposition.
of the Frederick Investment Company, and the fact
that Mr. Frederick was named as co-receiver would
indicate that the action in bankruptcy may have been
a friendly move in a general adjustment and liquida-
tion of the Frederick piano and general music busi-
ness. The Frederick Piano Company, like hundreds
of other big establishments, have been hard hit the
past two or three years in repossessions, resulting in
resales and particularly the player piano repossessions
which have represented thousands and thousands of
dollars in depletion and final loss.

MR. BRECKWOLDT'S LIFE IN FLORIDA
Julius Ereckwoldt, who has been sojourning at his
Florida home at Sea Breeze, Daytona Beach and
enjoying the rare and delightful sports and pleasures
of Florida life, is expected t a c k to his home at Dolge-
ville, N. Y., by the latter part of this month.

THE W. F. FREDERICK RECEIVERSHIP
The appointment of receivers for the W. F. Fred-
erick Piano Company, the home store of which is
located at Uniontown, Pa., and some eight branch
houses located at Pittsburgh, Wheeling, Altoona,
Greenburg, and other points, was a surprise. The
Commonwealth Trust Company and Mr. W. F. Fred-
erick himself were named as receivers and it is un-
derstood that the assignment, the proceedings of
which started at Pittsburgh, was made at the request
