THE QUICKEST, SUREST AND SAFEST WAY TO SEND MONEY IS BY TELEGRAPrT OR CABLE
ing date of May 17. The advertising is to continue in

from Baldwin headquarters, and is being used by
dealers. Notice in the telegram that the Baldwin
hodse says, "When others let up, we steam up."
On the seventeenth of May, the Baldwin Piano Co.
will fire the first gun in a national advertising cam-
paign that it is thought will be of keen interest to the
entire piano industry.
Thirty years ago the Baldwin made a momentous
step forward from national renown to international
fame with its exhibit at the Paris Exposition of 1900,
an exhibit that was awarded the Grand Prix.
The following year, the president of the House of
Baldwin, Lucien Wulsin, Sr., was decorated by the
French with the Cross of the Legion of Honor.
There followed the award of the Grand Prize at
St. Louis in 1904 and the Grand Prix at London
in 1914.
With these evidences of recognition came the grow-
ing acclaim of the great artists of the world, de Pach-
niann, Gieseking, Bachaus, and scores of others,

tions of the country every Sunday evening for an
entire year.
This was a development of great value to every
piano merchant in the country for it took into the
living rooms of millions of homes, an actual demon-
stration of a piano by one of the world's leading
pianists, In this way, almost every piano prospect
in the country was made acquainted with the piano
as a solo instrument, as an accompaniment for the
voice or violin and also as an instrument in an orches-
tra.
Now the Baldwin Piano Co. takes another stride
forward in its announcement of a national advertising
campaign, each advertisement to reach some fifteen
millions of readers. The first of the series is to appear
in the May 17 issue of the Saturday Evening Post.
It is stated that the copy will not be confined
entirely to propaganda for the Baldwin but will be
written and illustrated so as to benefit the entire
piano industry.
