PLEASED WITH PUPILS' PIANO.
A letter was received last week from Dr. J. Lewis
Browne, director of music in the Chicago public
schools, by the Piano Club of Chicago, highly compli-
menting that organization for furnishing a fine piano
for the use of the pupils at the Washburne School.
He says: "Please allow me to express my great grati-
fication of the fine grand piano delivered to the Wash-
burne Continuation School. This instrument is more
than satisfactory in every detail and all concerned
will be very grateful for the use of it. The writer
wishes also to express his sense of personal apprecia-
tion."

president of C. G. Conn, Ltd., will be vice-president

Any industry or institution within an industry that
is trying to solve its problems by reducing wages or
lengthening hours is guilty of an unfriendly act to-
ward industry and the American nation, Gov. Fred
W. Green of Michigan told the Chicago Rotary Club
meeting at the Hotel Sherman, Chicago, recently. He
declared, however, that "our best market is our own
market," and said that the only way to make that
market stable is to "assure to American workers
steady employment at wages that will enable them
to buy what we produce and on a working schedule
that leaves them enough leisure in which to use those
goods, wear them out and come back for more."

BUT ONE LYON & HEALY.
An advertisement in the Chicago Sunday Tribune
says: "The world is wide; our country large. There
are hundreds of piano stores, thousands of radio shops.
There is but one Lyon & Hleay. No other house lays
claim to such completeness. Here—as the aisles
widen—everything in music comes to view. No visitor
is disappointed. No guest is delayed. This musical
completeness immediately impresses the most casual.
It has won a higher place for service among music
loving friends."
