PRESTO-TIMES
MUSICAL TRUTH FOR SPRING
The Spring number of "Musical Truth," published
by and in the interests of C. G. Conn, Ltd., at
Elkhart, Ind., was issued the first week in April to
a circulation based on "request copies" taking the
magazine into every country throughout the world.
The actual number of copies mailed out, it is said, is
upwards of a quarter of a million.
Musicians throughout the world consider it a dis-
tinct honor to receive recognition for their achieve-
ments in "Musical Truth." Owing to limited space
available for various classifications of artists and en-
sembles, those who "break into print" in the publica-
tion are ranked with the top-notchers in their re-
spective musical circles. Among the pictorial fea-
tures are presented some of the band soloists of last
year's contest; notable school band organizations;
juvenile musicians and ensembles.
"Musical Truth" also announces Conn's "New Era"
trumpet, the new Conn-O-Sax, a new improved Con-
servatory oboe, latest features in drum corps equip-
ment, a "New Symphony" flute, French horns, eupho-
niums and Sousaphones, "Victor' 1 cornets, "Artist-
Ballroom" trombones and four new 1929 models in
the Conn saxophone family.
Announcement is also made about the dates of the
national school and orchestra contests this year. The
band contest will be held in Denver, Colo., May 23
to 25. The orchestra contest will be held in Iowa
City, Iowa, May 17 and 18. Musicians may obtain
copies of "Musical Truth" free from any Conn dealer
or by writing the editors at Elkhart.
