H. C. Dickinson, vice-chairman of the board of
directors of the Baldwin Company, said to a Presto-
Times representative on Friday that the company's
trade has been pretty fair right along. The company
had a fair month's trade last month—not an over-
whelming trade but enough to keep everything mov-
ing along smoothly. And Mr. Dickinson added:
"There is always piano business for those who will
go out and get it." He plans to leave Chicago on
December 9 and to spend two weeks at the company's
New York headquarters on 54th street, between Park
avenue and Fifth avenue.

MUSIC TRADE NEWS
IN INDIANAPOLIS
Jesse French Radio Moving in Lively Manner

Reports Revival of Player-Piano—
Other News.
Business conditions in Indianapolis are gradually
improving and in many instances it is reported that
there is a very decided trend toward the better class
of merchandise. This is practically true of all lines
of business, including the music industry.
The Starr Piano Company reports a revival of the
player-piano. Ned Clay, in charge of the piano de-
partment, declares that they have accomplished the
almost impossible, when he reported the sale of sev-
eral fine player-pianos, with good substantial down
payments and short time notes. Player-pianos have
been selling very slow in this city, and reports of
this revival makes one sit up and take notice.
The radio section of the company under Mr. Good-
nitc reports business very good and better by far
than it was a year ago at this period.
New Wurlitzer Models.
The Wilking Music Company are the proud recip-
ients of new Wurlitzer models, in the Jacobean, Ital-
ian and Florentine instruments with benches to match
in very fine veneers. The pianos are on display in
the Wurlitzer room, and are highly commended by
all who have seen them.
The French radios are moving very good, and dur-
ing the past week several of the instruments have
been sold. Mr. Wilking is expecting to do a very
good holiday business in French radios.
C. H. Meredith, one of the salesmen of the Pear-
son Piano Company, has been assigned to Louisville,
Ky., to conduct the sale of the Krausgill Piano Com-
pany recently purchased by the Pearson Piano Com-
pany.
On last Wednesday, November 21, the Indianapolis
division of the National Tuners' Association met at
the Dennison Hotel, to make arrangements for the
tri-state convention to be held in this city in February
at the Hotel Severin. Twenty-five members of the
association werep resent, in addition to two officers
from the National Association. L. M. Porch is chair-
man of the local division, and further notice will be
given of the Tri-State meeting to be held in Febru-
ary, and complete program in the following issues of
Presto-Times.
Good Business Reported.
The Carlin Music Company report business very
fair at present with some good prospects ahead for
the holiday season. Small goods and radios, however,
are holding their own. Mr. William Carlin has been
slightly indisposed during the past week, but reports
today find Mr. Carlin much improved.
The Christena-Teague P:ano Company report busi-
ness moving along very nicely, with the radio section
going good. Future prospects indicate some good
business in the very near future.
