PEOPLE'S SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
Miss Duhr, concert soprano, who is appearing as
guest artist with the People's Symphony Orchestra,
Chicago, Sunday afternoon, October 21, is a former
member of the Duesseldorf Opera Company, and ap-
peared on the concert stage for several years before
coming to America.
Since her four years' residence in Chicago, Miss
Duhr has appeared on programs of merit and in pri-
vate recital, making her American debut two years
ago.
She has been highly praised for the rich quality of
her voice, and the standard of her programs have
been a compliment to her repertoire. Her recent
paramount success in August as Leonora in the opera
'"Stradella," by Von Flatow, marks Miss Duhr as one
of the best sopranos of the German opera.
Miss Duhr will sing on the program of the People's
Symphony Orchestra the aria from "Freischutz," by
Weber, and the aria from "The Marriage of Figaro,"
by Mozart.

FROM THE BIGGEST
ORCHESTRION
EXPERT ON GRIGSBY-GRUNOW.
H. S. Muggeridge, the stock market expert, Chi-
cago, this week writes:
In view of numerous inquiries concerning Grigsby-
Grunow and growing interest in this stock it is be-
lieved timely to present an up-to-date picture or analy-
sis of this company, which for some time has been
the unparalleled sensation of the Chicago Stock Ex-
change. Grigsby-Grunow is without exception the
outstanding development in the radio trade during
the present year in its spectacular growth. But a
short time ago a prosperous but comparatively small
concern engaged solely in the manufacture of electric
power units for radio receivers, the company now
ranks as one of the most powerful and important
radio set producers in the world. Its products, mar-
keted under the trade-marked name "Majestic" are
distributed through jobbers and retailers throughout
the entire United States, and in most sections enjoy
a larger demand than those of any other manufac-
turer. Grigsby-Grunow Company makes practically
everything in a radio receiving set except the tubes.
Company builds its own cabinets; and as a producer
of power units the company is the largest in the
industry."
